Albany Door Systems holds its 83rd High Speed Door Technical Training Seminar

Lawrenceville, GA - Albany Door Systems held its 83rd High Speed Door Technical Training Seminar at the company's North American corporate headquarters in Lawrenceville, Georgia December 18, 2005. Lead by technical trainer Rick Walton, the informative seminar focuses on teaching the installation and troubleshooting of Albany Door Systems' High Speed Doors to dealer and end-user service and maintenance technicians.

Twenty-six technicians from across the United States spent the most recent eight-hour course learning how to properly and safely install and troubleshoot each of Albany's various RapidRoll® and M&I Re-Coil-AwayT high speed rollup door models.

The seminar is taught using a variety of tools including comprehensive service manuals, an in depth interactive video presentation, and working technical displays. "There's a lot of detailed and useful information given in a short period of time," remarked Walton. Upon completion of the seminar, attendees are given a written test that they must pass in order to become certified Albany door technicians. "The technicians are able to take what they learn in the seminar and use it to diagnose and repair problems more accurately and efficiently," added Walton.

Over 600 technicians from 125 companies have attended the seminar since Walton began teaching it in July of 2004. Commonly held at the customer's location, the high speed door seminar has been conducted off-site in cities from Bangor, Maine to Vancouver, British Columbia and as far south as Mexico City, Mexico.
