Special care is required when dealing with highly explosive materials. The RapidRoll® 450/600 Ex has been specially developed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres with individual function processes and offers optimum safety both indoors and outdoors thanks to the contact bar on the main closing edge. Door leaf tensioning ensures that the door curtain is always taut. The opening and closing processes can be optimally controlled in this way. This electrostatically safe, ATEX certified high-speed roll door is subject to strict standards.
Door curtain
The door curtain is fitted with a tensioning device. This means that the door curtain is always taut. Plastic gliders are fitted to the door curtain to keep the curtain in the guide profiles even under a heavy wind load.
Drive unit
The drive is designed as a geared brake motor and may be mounted on the left or right.
Control system
The door is fitted as standard with an MCCVectorControl frequency inverter control system with Ex-standard control unit. An Ex-standard control system is available as an option.
Manual operation
In the event of a power failure, the door can be opened from floor-level by manually releasing the brake. This releases the springs on the counterweight and the door opens automatically to up to 80% of the clear height, depending on width and height.
Safety features
The door complies with the provisions of the German Workplace Ordinance, the German Accident Prevention Regulations (UVV) and the harmonised EU directives, including product standard EN13241. In addition, the door complies with device group II, category 2 G, T4 or category 3 D T 80° C and may be used in accordance with Directive 94/9/EC. The door is electrostatically safe and certified to ATEX.
